Canterbury Paralympians Alumni Fund


Josh Rae was named our Canterbury Paralympians Alumni Scholarship recipient at the ParaFed Canterbury Awards Function at the end of last year.

The Canterbury Paralympians Alumni Fund was established by past Paralympic athletes to support our Para athletes of the future. Names such as Steve Bayley, Dave Collie, Caitlin Dore, Anthea Dixon, Mark Inglis, Ben Lucas, Jeremy Morriss, Matt Slade and Colin Willis have all contributed to the fund.

Josh has had a fantastic past 12 months in his sport of Para table tennis player. He has won medals at regional and national tournaments and was recently selected in the New Zealand Para Table Tennis Training Squad. Josh is aiming for selection in the New Zealand team for the Oceania Championships to be held in Auckland later this year. He is 18 years of age and is in his first year studying at Canterbury University.

Josh has a big future ahead of him and it will be exciting to follow his journey.
