A special mention to two members who have or are about to relocate to further their study and sporting journeys.

Rorie Poff (Para athletics) recently moved to Dunedin to study Nursing and to train with world class athletics coach Raylene Bates. Rorie has been a member since 2015 and has been involved across a range of our sports & programmes.

Gaby Smith (Para swimming) makes the move to Brisbane, Australia tomorrow to study a Bachelor of Business Management and train at the University of Queensland. Gaby has been a member since 2016 and competed for New Zealand at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games last year.

Both will remain members of ParaFed Canterbury and are still key members of our Academy Programme in 2025.
