We are excited to announce that Anna Simcic will be our Master of Ceremonies (MC) for the ParaFed Canterbury Awards Function this Saturday.

Anna was a world-class swimmer for New Zealand at two Olympic and two Commonwealth Games. She was a finalist in the 200m backstroke at the 1992 and 1996 Olympic Games. She has won gold and two silver medals at the Commonwealth Games, including a famous victory in the 200m backstroke at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland.

Today, Anna gives back to the next generation of athletes, working for High Performance Sport NZ as a performance life coach. She has vast experience MC’ing events around the country and she also participated on the 2021 Season of Celebrity Treasure Island.

Anna has supported many of our past and present Para athletes, and coaches, and we are looking forward to her being part of this year’s Awards Function.

The ParaFed Canterbury Awards Function, proudly supported by McDonald's Canterbury, will be held at the Chateau on the Park this Saturday 30th November 2024.
