Awards - Graham Condon Scholarship

Sarah James was named our Graham Scholarship recipient at the ParaFed Canterbury Awards Function.

The Graham Condon Scholarship was first awarded in 2008 in memory of the late Graham Condon who lost his life in a tragic accident. Graham was a six-time New Zealand Paralympian who made a difference in the lives of many people with and without a disability.

Sarah is one of our most dedicated athletes and has had a busy year racing both nationally and in Australia. She has produced personal bests and New Zealand Records in many of her races.

In her main event, the 100m sprint, she is ranked 13th in the world. In the 800m and 400m she is ranked 14th and 15th respectively.

Sarah demonstrates the commitment Graham would of been proud of and we are hopeful of seeing her at the World Championships and the Paralympic Games in the future.
