KATHY CONDON

LIFE MEMBER: INDUCTED 2001
In recognition of outstanding service to New Zealand Para sport

Kathy, along with her husband, the late Graham Condon, was at the forefront of Para sport in the Canterbury region and with the New Zealand Paralympic teams.

As a nurse, Kathy was called upon to travel as part of the staff with Canterbury and New Zealand teams and her knowledge of Para sport and medical training meant that she was the first person’s name to be put onto a team list.

She tirelessly worked behind the scenes to ensure that ParaFed Canterbury was well supported and able to grow and she gave so much of her time to ensure that others had the opportunities and support to participate and thrive.

Kathy attended three Paralympic Games and is one of New Zealand’s pioneers in establishing the regional ParaFed organizations.
