The ParaFed South Island Games are held every 2 years and include a number of sports - most recently Athletics, Swimming, Boccia, Shooting & Table Tennis. The 2010 event also saw the inclusion of Powerchair Football for the first time.

This event is one step along the pathway from the ParaFed Canterbury Regionals. ParaFed invites athletes from all around the South Island (and NZ) to attend this development event. We have a wide range of athletes from very beginner athletes to more experienced athletes and Paralympians.

The next ParaFed South Island Games will be held in 2012. The location is still to be confirmed due to the earthquake’s damage to QE2 stadium.
