2. Be prepared to work as part of a team, develop new skills and be willing to take on any role no matter how menial.

Asia Oceania Wheelchair Rugby Champs Results
Australia defeated the Wheel Blacks 53-45 in the final of the IWAS Wheelchair Rugby Asia Oceania Zone Championships at Christchurch’s Pioneer.

Mitchell said that his team had had a great tournament and, although extremely disappointed at the end result, was delighted with the effort of the entire squad. “Senior players like Jai (Waite), Curtis (Palmer) and Dan (Buckingham) were amazing and we were able to give some of the newer squad members a taste of international competition,” he said.

Australia, New Zealand and third-placed Japan, all qualified for the 2010 world championships with their performances this week. In the bronze medal match Japan defeated Korea 65-29.
